THE TAIL
!Hello friend! As I know you are here because you love
your pets, today's theme will be "Tail movement." We've all asked
ourselves ¿why does my dog move its tail like that? ¿What does it mean? ¿What
do you mean? Well today we
will clarify so you can know why they do it and its importance.
Dogs use
their body to make movements and gestures in order to communicate their mood
and express their emotions, of all their physique, the tail is the most
expressive part, practically every one of their movements means something,
whether directed to us or to other dogs with whom you can cross or live
together, it is important because they use it to be able to socialize and
communicate with others of their kind.
The
movements and their meaning:
- In circles: With this movement, the dog shows empathy and desire to play.
- From side to side: It is agitation, happiness and joy, but also impatience and nervousness. In these cases the dog is torn between desire and fear. I want to do something, and fear what happens if it does.
- Short and fast: It is about to attack.
- Raised and with the tip up: The animal is showing its authority. It is the dominant dog, and changing that idea will be difficult.
- Curve raised but curved: Show confidence and self-control.
- Extended horizontally: It is analyzing something that caught his attention.-Extended horizontally and tense: Possible confrontation. A dog with a rigid and horizontal tail is not that it wants to attack necessarily, but it is not willing for anyone to invade its terrain.
- Lower and away from the hind legs: It means that the animal is calm and relaxed.
- Low, near the hind legs and with slight lateral movements: This shows his insecurity. It is uneasy and does not like what is in front of him or around him.
- Between the legs. Here the feeling is scary: The animal is very scared, afraid of being attacked or may indicate submission to the dominant member.
Many people cut the dogs tail but this limits them, since
their use is essential not only to understand them, but to be able to
communicate and interact with other dogs. The tail is part of its body, it
helps with your balance and to express yourself, it is essential for them to
develop normally.
!If you
respect your pet, don't mutilate it!
